Meet Mojo

Two very different brains.

One very good partnership.

We’re Lily and Nix, the duo behind Mojo Media. Lily brings the strategy, questions and big-picture thinking. Nix brings the design, development and obsessive attention to how it all comes together. We’ve been building side by side since 2017.

Different strengths. Same standards. Nearly a decade of doing this together.

A bit of backstory…

Mojo started in a way neither of us could have planned.

Lily had recently moved to Port Elizabeth and was running her own business as a solopreneur. She rented a hot desk at a local creative studio, and Nix quite literally opened the door.

Nix quite literally opened the door.

Lily needed help. Nix started assisting part time. And somewhere between client projects, problem-solving and figuring things out together, what started as a working arrangement became a proper partnership.

As the work grew, so did Nix’s role. She taught herself to code so we could stop relying on outside developers and start building the websites ourselves, properly, from beginning to end.

Eventually, it stopped making sense for all of that work to sit under Lily’s name.

So we registered Mojo Media Agency, found an affordable domain, and carried on building.

Nearly a decade later, we’re still doing it side by side.

Why We Built This

Over the years, we kept meeting women with beautiful product ideas and real businesses they wanted to build.

The problem was that a fully custom brand and online shop can cost thousands of dollars. And for someone just starting out, that kind of investment simply is not always possible.

But just because someone does not have $10,000 to hand over to an agency does not mean she should have to settle for a shop that looks amateur, feels cobbled together or leaves her figuring everything out on her own.

That didn’t sit right with us.

It broke our hearts and lit a fire.

So we built something different.

We took what we had learned from years of building brands and online shops for clients and turned it into a way for women to start with something beautiful, properly built and designed to sell, without needing a massive budget to get there.

Because starting smaller should not mean starting badly.

And that became

We wanted to find a way to give women access to the same thinking we use in our custom builds, without needing a custom-build budget.

So we created Shop That Sells.

Then we show you how to make it your own.

You learn how to add your products, change the design, write your copy, organise your images, set up your payments and understand how the whole thing works together.

So instead of staring at a blank screen wondering where to start, you begin with something real, something beautiful, and something that already works.

Meet Nix

Co Founder • Creative Director & Integrator

Design was always my thing, but I never wanted to stop at pretty pictures. I wanted to make it all work. To take a concept from idea to full digital experience that feels stunning and functions like a dream.

When I started working with Lily, I was as her designer. But we quickly realised we were a perfect match. Her strategy, my creative and tech brain. We made a great team.

I taught myself to code so I could build exactly what we envisioned without relying on developers who didn’t get it. That changed everything.

Now, I design and custom build websites that look and feel luxurious but are simple to use.

I handle the tech, the systems, the automations, and all the backend things that make your shop feel smooth and seamless.

When I’m not behind my screen, I’m either trying to comb my bunnies, sketching something new, lost in a fantasy book, or escaping into my PlayStation world.

My love language? Words of affirmation and a good cup of coffee shared with a friend.

Meet Lily

I’ve always known I wasn’t built for the traditional path.
I wanted time freedom, creative control, and a life that felt fully mine, so I built it. And I haven’t looked back.

Over the years, I’ve gone deep into what makes brands grow online. I live for the strategy side. Funnels, positioning, messaging, customer journeys, and the operations that keep everything flowing.

At Mojo, I lead strategy and operations. I map the big picture, guide timelines, keep everything aligned, and make sure the wheels keep turning behind the scenes.

I also make sure you feel calm, clear, and confident from day one.

Helping women step into a brand presence that finally reflects how brilliant their work is is the most fulfilling thing in the world.

When I’m not behind my screen, you’ll find me barefoot in the garden, creating something beautiful, or bribing my cats for affection.

My love language? Quality time and herbal tea.
